How does Acupuncture work?
Acupuncture will stimulate the points along the meridians or energy lines. This could stimulate the body’s healing processes. It causes the brain to release endorphins and stimulate the immune system to heal. An ankle sprain recovery time may be significantly reduced in some cases.
Does it reduce pain?
Pain is often reduced and may be eliminated in some cases especially for migraine pain and sleep may improve once the pain is relieved.
Will it hurt?
Needle insertion is relatively painless. Once the needle is in place there may be a mild tingling, numbness, or heaviness at the needle site. There may be an ‘electric’ sensation either around the needle or travelling up or down the affected acupuncture channel. Response to treatment depends on the individual.
How long does it take and how often is it necessary?
Generally, the treatment is for one to two weeks and may assist weight loss, but individual results may vary depending on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.
What can be treated?
Acupuncture can be used to treat many sports medical problems that you consult your doctor for. For example, it may be used to treat injuries such as sprains, tendonitis, deep tissue tears, tennis elbow, frozen shoulders.
What do you mean by no relief no charge?

How long is an appointment?
Each treatment usually takes about one hour.
Are there any side effects?
Adverse side effects are relatively few. You may feel sleepy following the treatment. Bruising at the needle site is uncommon, but may occur.
Does it help mobility?
With acupuncture, some people get back to work sooner.
Do I have to control my diet?
While acupuncture may help reduce appetite, it is advisable to maintain a healthy and balanced diet. It is recommended that some people seek professional advice on diet, exercise and lifestyle changes.
